Two beginner card tricks revealed
Card tricks have always fascinated people, young and old. We have always wondered how the magician could know exactly what card we chose. Many of them never reveal their secrets, but here are two tricks revealed.
- The Power of Four. Have you ever wondered how a magician always knows the card in his hand, even if the card is upside down? There is no mark on the back of the card and no one whispered in his ear. Well, here’s how to do it: you ask someone (your helper) to shuffle the cards as much as he wants. After that, you turn the deck over and you go through them, showing that the cards are mixed. Then, you ask the helper to split the cards into two parts. Now, when you went through the cards, you notice what the 4th card was. You tell the helper that the 4th card from one side will tell you what is the 4th card is from the other side. You already saw the 4th card from one side, so all you have to do is to take a peek at the other side and reveal the 4th card from the side that you knew. Now you know.
- The False Cut. This is a basic trick that anyone can learn - make someone believe that you shuffled the cards when you actually didn’t. Split the deck into two halves, and put each half on top of the other one a few times, really fast, while hiding them in your palm. From the outside, it will seem like you are actually shuffling them, but you know that the cards will be in the exact same order.
